What Watch Would Jonny Quest Wear?

Well, Master Quest would have to join the LAVENTURE Kickstarter campaign, but I like to think he would be a very early backer ; )

Interesting to relate, I have spent the last week or so sifting through Ebay, Chrono 24 and other sites trying to find a cool vintage watch that was good looking, but not a show-pony.  Something to strap on while engaging in acts of daring-do.  Admittedly, my definition of daring-do and yours may vary...

And it would seem that Clément Gaud was thinking the same thoughts as he was designing his LAVENTURE Marine!

In addition to the blue (my personal favorite), it is available in green (above) and brown (below).

It is not a super-duper exclusive movement - it is an ETA 2824.

The case is not made of "unobtainium" - it is 41 mm of stainless steel.

It is not waterproof to a gazillion meters - it is water resistant to 660 feet (200 meters for the rest of you).

The dial is a "sandwich" style, with the lume referenced as a "beige vintage".

You know, it's a watch.   AND THAT IS WHAT IS SO COOL ABOUT IT!

It is a wonderfully good looking watch that is ready to accompany you on adventures - both emotional and physical.  There are watches that just smack you on the back of the heard with a visceral two-by-four, and this is one of them.

You Want This Watch.

I know I do!

Here are the pertinents, straight from the Kickstarter page -

So if you've got some summer spending money left, the price for early birds starts at CHF 1570.
