It's a Pleasant Mystery - Cuervo y Sobrinos

The universe has a way of revealing itself… as does the Espl√©ndidos Misterio!

Needless to say, this was shot in the Cuervo y Sobrinos booth without the best photographic skills (i.e. I took the photo).  But this one really, and truly caught my eye.

I LOVE the tank style case used by Cuervo y Sobrinos it this watch.  And getting to try it on, well let's just say that beauty is more than skin (or steel) deep.  It is curvy and comfy.  But the mystery dial was a particularly fun challenge to work out.  Essentially the time is quite literally revealed by the apertures in the disc as it rotates above the main dial.

And sitting there, sipping my Cuba Libre, and glancing at the pleasant revelation of the time…
I can see why the people at Cuervo y Sobrinos are so passionate about what they do.

Perhaps more simply put - there are a lot of jobs out there, but when you really love what you do, it shows.  And it shows in the obvious and the not so obvious ways.  Generally it will show in the product.  But it also shows in your ENGAGEMENT with your customers.  One thing for certain, the Cuervo y Sobrinos team are ENGAGED!

I realize that this has turned into more of a people than watch post - but I would counter that the reason that the watch is so special is because who designed, constructed and market it are special as well.

More to come on this piece and the other new releases from Cuervo y Sobrinos in the coming days and weeks.  Until then, enjoy the steady revelation of life's mysteries.
