A New "Pop" Star

I was just introduced to something that I think is really, pretty great!  I will be introducing these one at a time.

This is the POP-PILOT SEZ.
This is, at least to me, a very interesting concept.  Essentially, the belief being that you can make some interesting, attractive watches that don't have to cost a JILLION dollars.  The Pop-Pilot watches are a whimsical twist on the typical pilot's watch.  Instead of Black and White, there is an option for nearly every mood you might have.  But it is more than just a color thing, each version of the POP-PILOT comes with a bit of a story behind it.  In keeping with the aviation thing, each version refers to a destination airport.

This one is the POP-PILOT SEZ, and here is a rundown straight from the source:

Destination: Seychelles International Airport

Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) near the capitol of Victoria on the island of Mahé is the sole airport of the Seychelles. Opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1972, it has ever since been the gate to paradise. The tropical sun and crystal clear water are reflected in this POP-PILOT.
Coordinates: 4° 40′ 28″ S, 55° 31′ 19″ O
Airport: Seychelles International Airport
Code: SEZ
Passengers: 674,306 (2011)
Freight (t): 9,613 (2011)
Flights: 4,479 (2011)
And frankly, at 180 Euros - that is a lot of fun for not a lot of money!

Here are the details, straight from POP-PILOT -
  • Stainless steel watch case (Ø 42 mm)
  • Satin finish
  • Interchangeable nylon strap
  • Precision quartz movement
  • 50m water resistant
