Something Unexpected from Sablier

So, while the big dogs were scarfing down hors d'oeuvres and slurping down sparkling cocktails with Rolex and Tudor last night, yours truly was sniffing around looking for something different here in Lucerne.  And no, I did not find it on the streets of Lugano or Lucerne.  It pains me to admit it, but Timezone was the source for my learning about Sablier.

So while I was noodling around, I stumbled upon this.  This is from the Grand Cru collection.

One of the big design points of the Sablier Grand Cru is a concave dial and face design.  Imagine the feeling of not dreading scraping your watch, gouging the crystal.  Interesting notion.

Available in a few different versions, it will be interesting to see how Sablier comes along.
