Lippe”- Trilogy watch collection at Munichtime 2013.
The extraordinary “Fort de Lippe” collection was designed by His Highness York Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe as a tribute to his forefather, Count Wilhelm of Schaumburg-Lippe who was the successful Commander in Chief of the combined Portuguese/British/Schaumburg-
Lippisch army in the war of 1762 for the independence of Portugal. Under his command he gave orders to construct the “Fort de Nossa Senhora da Graça”, which the Portuguese King later renamed “Fort de Lippe” in his honor. This magnificent Fort, among the largest and best preserved of its period, stands strong as testament to the great elegance and strength in design embraced for generations by the Schaumburg-Lippe house.
