The Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 - changing things up 1 week in

We are now a week in on the 15 day review - I might have to call Aquadive to ask for an extension!  This is a FANTASTIC watch!  And as they were nice enough to send several ISOfrane straps, I figured that the least I could do was switch again and here we are in - you guessed it - Orange!  After 3 years handling DOXA's PR - you KNOW I had to try the orange!

Okay, let's talk about some more "nuts-and-bolts" items - timekeeping!

In consultation with the online "atomic" clock - we are very close to "TRUE" - meaning we have a + 2 second variance over the first week.  And an important thing to understand about how the 15 day review - I do not time it in the various positions - dial up, dial down, etc.  I try to be as "normal" as possible.  This means that I wear the watch, take it off at night (and I honestly couldn't tell you whether it's dial, crown, up/down etc.) - and I suspect that most of us are like this.

The comfort on this watch is FIRST RATE!!!  Back when I worked for DOXA, my first "company watch was the SUB 600 (time/date).  Later that year, the 5000T came out, and all of us "traded up".  In retrospect, the watch felt a wee bit big/heavy.  It was (and is) quite nice, but with the bracelet it was a bit much for me.  When I worked on the Project AWARE watch - that became my company watch.  Since then, I think it is safe to say that I have looked for a "Tweener" between the two.  The Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 is as close as I have come.  It has been incredibly comfortable as a daily wearer, but still stands out as an icon of 60s cool!

So to that end - some more images -

And yes, the fingerprints and smudges will attest - this watch is being worn!

We have about another week left - stay tuned!
